What you will do
- Lead and mentor embedded software development teams through full lifecycles tailored to aerospace programs.
- Ensure technical adherence to aerospace industry standards for software safety, quality, and reliability.
- Coordinate integrated designs with system, FPGA, and test engineering teams.
- Manage the development of low-level drivers, board support packages, and real-time operating systems.
- Guide teams in adapting Agile and Spiral methodologies for aerospace protocols.
- Interface with customers during program reviews and failure review boards to emphasize transparency.
Requirements
- B.S. in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Extensive experience in human-rated, Class A aerospace software environments.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python with RTOS (VxWorks, Linux) familiarity.
- Proven leadership in multi-disciplinary engineering project coordination.
- Must be able to access U.S. export-controlled information.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AS9115A and NPR 7150.2 standards.
- Experience with software static analysis tools and verification processes.
- Hands-on experience with aerospace certification and readiness assessments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline implementation in constrained environments.
