Salary: $160,000 - $225,000

What you will do

• Engineer avionics for volume production through the full design cycle, including requirements, prototyping, schematic capture, layout, and validation.
• Shape the architecture of next-generation products, making impactful design decisions independently.
• Lead trade studies, develop hardware requirements, and provide direction to mitigate system-level risks.
• Proactively identify and implement improvements in system, vehicle, and component-level designs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on fault tolerance, power, thermals, and manufacturability.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Hardware Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 6 years of design experience including circuit design, PCB layout, and transitioning products to production.
• Proven success developing electronics for critical systems in aerospace, transportation, or medical devices.
• Experience with mixed-signal, high-speed digital, SoM compute integration, and electromagnetic compatibility.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.
• Must be able to work onsite at the South San Francisco office.

Nice to have

• Experience with DDR, CSI, PCIe, SPI, UART, or USB.
• Experience with WiFi, Cell, GNSS, ADS-B, Cameras, or Microphones.
• Experience with high-volume consumer electronics (mobile, laptops, automotive).
• Experience working on fail-safe and fail-operational electronics in aerospace or medical fields.
