Risk Manager - Country & Operational Risk (Fintech): Managing the local risk framework for the UK entity (CBPL) and contributing to global operational risk programs with an accent on regulatory compliance and risk appetite monitoring. Focus on leading RCSAs, managing incidents, and ensuring alignment with FCA and UK regulatory expectations.
Location: Hybrid (UK). In-person participation is required throughout the year for offsites and collaboration.
Salary: £95,490 — £106,100 GBP

What you will do
- Run CBPL’s entity-level risk framework covering financial, operational, technology, and regulatory risks.
- Lead RCSAs, incident/issue management, and risk-appetite monitoring for the UK business.
- Provide 2LoD risk challenge on products and change initiatives for the CBPL Risk Committee and Board.
- Design and embed ’s global Operational Risk Management framework, including scenario analysis and KRIs.
- Coordinate global ORM program areas and act as a trusted partner to global product and operations teams.
- Champion a strong risk culture and coach first-line leaders on prudential and operational risk.
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of risk-management experience in UK-regulated financial services.
- Deep knowledge of operational risk concepts including 2LoD, RCSA, and risk appetite.
- Practical experience with UK regulations such as SYSC, MiFIDPRU/IFPR, and Consumer Duty.
- Proven ability to engage with Boards, senior management, and regulators.
- Ability to responsibly use generative AI tools in daily workflows.
- Must be based in the UK or be able to participate in-person as required.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with GRC platforms like RSA Archer.
- Prior exposure to crypto, digital assets, or fintech businesses.
- Relevant qualifications such as IRM, FRM, PRM, or CFA.
