Software Engineer (PHP (Fintech)): Building and scaling a global payment ecosystem for a large vacation rental marketplace with an accent on payment gateway integration and resilient architecture. Location: Hybrid (Vilnius/Kaunas). Must be able to commute to the Kaunas office for collaborative sessions.

Salary: € 3000 - 5500 gross / month

What you will do

• Partner with Product Managers to shape the product roadmap and provide technical perspectives on the "why" and "what".
• Lead technical discovery and implementation of global payment gateways such as Adyen, ProcessOut, and Checkout.com.
• Build and maintain robust payment services using PHP 8.4 and Symfony 7.4.
• Develop highly available, fault-tolerant services within a modern cloud environment using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Utilize Kibana, Grafana, and New Relic to identify performance trends and inform product iterations.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to pipe critical financial data into Snowflake and Superset for business intelligence.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend development, preferably with PHP/Symfony.
• Fluent English skills for working with a distributed team across Europe.
• Flexibility to commute to the Kaunas office for collaborative sessions.
• Strong interest in or professional experience with payment processing and financial systems.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with Adyen or similar Payment Service Providers (PSPs).
• Background in building KYC or onboarding flows.
• Experience working within Kubernetes and Docker environments.
