What you will do

• Analyze operational processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Conduct time studies, workflow mapping, and waste analysis to support lean initiatives.
• Support the development of standard work instructions, visual controls, and process documentation.
• Collect and interpret operational data to create dashboards, charts, and reports.
• Participate in cross-functional problem-solving sessions and continuous improvement events.
• Support layout design, ergonomics assessments, and capacity planning.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field.
• Ability to work full-time during Summer 2026.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Nice to have

• Coursework or experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement tools.
• Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Previous internship or project experience in manufacturing or operations environments.
