What you will do

• Manage prior authorizations and source financial assistance on behalf of patients.
• Process pharmacy claims and coordinate medication dispensing and shipping.
• Perform dispensing functions, including medication ordering, labeling, and ensuring proper verification.
• Act as a primary liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacists.
• Improve the patient experience by resolving questions and requests via phone.

Requirements

• Pharmacy technician, licensed practical nurse, or similar licensure as required in the applicable state.
• Technician registration or licensure in the state of employment; national CPhT certification is preferred.
• Experience navigating specialty medication benefits investigation, prior authorizations, and financial assistance.
• Proficiency in pharmacy software systems such as QS1, ComputerRx, PioneerRx, or WAM.
• Familiarity with specialty medications used in autoimmune, endocrinology, and oncology.
• Ability to thrive in a startup environment and help build workflows from the ground up.

Nice to have

• Experience working with EMR systems such as EPIC, Cerner, or NextGen.
• Knowledge of specialty pharmacy systems like Therigy, Asembia1, or ScriptMed.
