Senior Manager, Product (Digital Coaching): Designing and scaling lean, digitally enabled, recipient-centered coaching interventions to enhance the impact of cash transfers with an accent on behavioral science and scalable delivery systems. Focus on building AI chatbots, video-based content, and digital curricula to reach millions of people in low-income environments.

Location: Fully remote (Must overlap with an East Africa timezone by at least 3 hours)

Compensation (US): Estimated Total Target $126,500+ (Base $115,500 + Bonus $11,500) plus an annual benefits stipend of $21,393

What you will do

• Define the vision and roadmap for the Cash + Coaching model, identifying modular components that drive impact versus cost.
• Lead development of digital tools, including AI or rules-based chatbots (e.g., WhatsApp), video edutainment, and digital curricula.
• Translate behavioral science and coaching theory into practical, scalable delivery systems for low-literacy and low-connectivity environments.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with graduation NGOs, academic partners, and tech vendors.
• Collaborate with country programs in Rwanda, Mozambique, and Malawi to pilot and refine interventions.
• Oversee rapid pilots and structured experiments to generate high-quality evidence at speed.

Requirements

• 8-10+ years of experience designing or leading graduation, economic inclusion, or cash-plus programs.
• Direct experience building or scaling digital coaching products such as chatbots, apps, or edutainment platforms.
• Deep familiarity with the graduation evidence base and coaching methodologies.
• Strong project management skills to coordinate internal teams and external vendors.
• English proficiency required; French is preferred.
• Ability to travel 1-2 times per quarter to countries of operation in Africa.

Nice to have

• Experience co-developing products with governments or multilateral partners.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools, WhatsApp-based delivery, IVR, or digital learning platforms.
• Experience working in fast-paced, iterative environments.
