Developer Experience Lead (AI)

Developer Experience Lead (AI/Infrastructure): Driving large-scale improvements to the development experience across the hirify.global Cloud Platform with an accent on build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-driven development workflows. Focus on optimizing Gradle/Nx builds, reducing feedback loops in TeamCity/GitHub, and establishing scalable tooling standards.

Location: Must be based in Amsterdam, Berlin, Madrid, Munich, Paphos, Prague, or Warsaw

What you will do

• Own and drive the strategy for developer experience improvements across the entire JCP platform.
• Optimize build systems (Gradle, Nx) for faster builds, better caching, and reliable reproducibility at scale.
• Set up AI development pipelines, managing context, agents, and handoffs.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines to reduce build times and increase reliability across TeamCity and GitHub.
• Enhance containerized development workflows using Docker and Dev Containers for consistent local environments.
• Establish tooling standards and shared infrastructure to eliminate bottlenecks from commit to production.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with build systems (Gradle, Maven, or Bazel) and optimizing them at scale.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, TeamCity, or Jenkins.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized development workflows.
• Proven ability to drive cross-team initiatives and influence engineering practices in large organizations.
• Deep understanding of the full software development life cycle and developer productivity holistically.

Nice to have

• Experience improving DX at scale within a platform or infrastructure organization.
• Experience working on AI-driven development pipelines.
• Expertise in build caching, remote execution, and incremental build strategies.
• Contributions to open-source build tooling or CI/CD infrastructure.
