What you will do

• Design and operate ephemeral, pre-warmed development environments that can be spun up on demand by engineers and AI agents.
• Own infrastructure-level quality gates, including automated load testing, performance benchmarking, and security scanning.
• Build containerized mock services and Playwright-based UI validation to support iterative self-refinement in CI loops.
• Develop review tooling, metrics dashboards, and operational controls to make pipelines observable and improvable.
• Extend internal CLI tools to automate environment setup, service discovery, and dependency management.

Requirements

• 6–10+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles building production systems at scale.
• Must be based in Canada.
• Expertise with Kubernetes (EKS) and core AWS services (IAM, VPC, ECR, S3, SQS, Lambda, RDS/Aurora).
• Strong experience with Terraform (IaC) and GitOps workflows using Argo CD.
• Proven track record of building ephemeral environments, internal platforms, or developer CLI tools.
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD (CircleCI, GitHub Actions) and load testing frameworks (k6, Locust, or Gatling).

Nice to have

• Active usage of AI development tools like Claude Code or Codex in infrastructure workflows.
• Experience with progressive delivery and release strategies such as canary or blue-green deployments.
• Ability to define SLIs/SLOs using observability tools like Datadog and OpenTelemetry.
