What you will do

• Lead a cross-functional team of 6-10 engineers, balancing 50% leadership and 50% hands-on technical work.
• Design, code, and deliver scalable applications using Node.js.
• Drive technical planning and execution, ensuring a balance between short-term goals and long-term system health.
• Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and manage performance cycles.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to enhance user experiences and implement technical strategies.
• Participate in hiring and scaling the team to align with company values.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including OOP principles and scalable system design.
• Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries and optimize performance.
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, and debugging complex system interactions.
• Proven track record of working in production environments, handling incidents and escalations.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis across code, data, and systems.
• Must be based in one of the specified EMEA countries.
