Salary: $200,000 - $250,000

What you will do

• Translate complex customer problems into simple, performant backend solutions.
• Develop and maintain the AI system with a core focus on stability, performance, and reliability.
• Write clean, scalable code using Django, Python, Postgres, and Redis.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to rapidly prototype and iterate on solutions.
• Manage ongoing conceptual and technical complexity while delivering tangible product value.

Requirements

• Must be based in San Francisco for a hybrid work schedule.
• 8+ years of professional experience with Django in a production environment.
• Proven track record of using LLMs in production.
• Experience interacting with LLMs directly without the use of abstraction libraries.
• Previous experience working at an early-stage product-based startup (under 50 people).

Nice to have

• Experience working in regulated domains or roles where data privacy and security were essential.
• BS in Computer Science or a similar field.
