Salary: $60,000 - $100,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage sales tax compliance using Avalara, including monitoring nexus thresholds and remitting returns across multiple jurisdictions.
• Maintain and organize documentation for federal, state, and local income taxes.
• Prepare and compile data packages for external accountants and tax advisors.
• Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes and tax planning strategies to reduce liabilities.
• Monitor legislative tax law developments and maintain tax calendars to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Support audits or inquiries from tax authorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in tax compliance, preferably with sales/use tax.
• Strong understanding of U.S. tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Excel and general ledger/accounting software.
• Must be based in the USA; the company is unable to sponsor work visas at this time.

Nice to have

• CPA or working toward CPA designation.
• Experience in a multi-state tax environment.
• Exposure to tax planning or strategy projects.
