What you will do

• Design and implement secure, standards-based healthcare systems and digital health solutions in Switzerland.
• Translate complex healthcare requirements and interoperability standards into clear architectural concepts and specifications.
• Define architecture and standards to enable reliable and secure data exchange across organizations and systems.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for partners and customers on integration strategies and long-term sustainability.
• Drive the evolution of digital health standards by participating in HL7 user groups and similar professional forums.

Requirements

• Strong architectural background with hands-on experience building complex software systems in the healthcare domain.
• Proven experience implementing HL7 FHIR, specifically within the Swiss healthcare context and using Swiss FHIR implementation guides.
• Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken).
• Ability to be present in the Zurich area 20–40% of the time to engage with customers and partners.
• Solid foundation in software engineering principles, including security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Ability to produce clear, structured, and review-ready technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Swiss implementation guides such as CH EPR/EPD, CH EMED, CH LAB, or CH VACD.
• Proficiency with clinical terminologies such as SNOMED CT or LOINC.
• Knowledge of IHE profiles (e.g., XDS, PIX/PDQ, ATNA).
• Familiarity with formal review procedures in standards organizations like HL7.
