What you will do

• Own the analytical agenda, defining which problems to pursue and establishing criteria for project viability.
• Set standards for analytical communication and reporting via Jupyter or Colab notebooks.
• Drive alignment on data strategy across product, engineering, and leadership to address roadmap gaps.
• Lead the modeling strategy for pricing and bidding using scikit-learn, statsmodels, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Prototype predictive models that can be scaled into production by the ML engineering team.
• Leverage Vertex AI for experimentation, training, and deployment workflows.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a data scientist or applied researcher in tech, fintech, or advertising.
• 3+ years of experience in a senior data science position.
• Strong statistical foundation with hands-on experience in scikit-learn, statsmodels, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience with ML lifecycle platforms such as Vertex AI or SageMaker.
• Fluency in SQL and Python data tooling (pandas, NumPy, Plotly).
• Must be based in the US or Canada.
