Salary: $190,000 – $240,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Define and execute the AI roadmap covering experimentation, model evaluation, and deployment.
• Architect safe, scalable LLM systems using prompt chaining, memory retention, and RAG pipelines.
• Develop strategies for model selection (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, open-source) and cost-effective inference at scale.
• Build and scale a high-performing AI team across ML, data science, MLOps, and backend infrastructure.
• Collaborate with legal and clinical teams to ensure HIPAA compliance and safe handling of sensitive patient data.
• Serve as the primary AI technical authority for external vendors, cloud partners, and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 3 years leading cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral), including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and embeddings.
• Hands-on experience with RAG frameworks, vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Redis), and memory architectures.
• Strong proficiency in Python and the ML stack (PyTorch, HuggingFace, LangChain).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Track record of shipping production-grade AI systems in healthcare or other mission-critical domains.
• Familiarity with ethical AI, including red-teaming, bias mitigation, and explainability.
