Senior IT Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

Senior IT Engineer (AI/ITSM): Managing and maturing the internal IT function and infrastructure using an AI-native automation platform with an accent on identity and access management, SaaS governance, and device lifecycle. Focus on designing scalable zero-touch onboarding/offboarding workflows, implementing RBAC, and integrating operational insights into the core AI product.

Location: On-site in San Francisco (5 days/week)

Salary: $150,000 – $215,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Lead identity and access infrastructure, including SSO consolidation, RBAC design, and SAML/SCIM automation.
• Drive SaaS governance to rationalize the app stack and eliminate shadow IT.
• Standardize device management policies and MDM for company-wide hardware.
• Own daily IT operations, supporting onboarding/offboarding and internal requests via Slack and in-person.
• Build IT automation workflows using hirify.global to streamline access requests and provisioning.
• Support security and compliance efforts, including access reviews and SOC 2 audit evidence gathering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT engineering or operations within fast-paced environments.
• Proven track record of delivering end-to-end infrastructure projects (planning, execution, and documentation).
• Hands-on expertise with Okta, SAML, SCIM, and RBAC design.
• Experience with endpoint management tools, specifically macOS and Kandji.
• Must be willing to work fully onsite in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or low-code tools.
• Knowledge of zero-trust security models or just-in-time access tooling.
• Experience building IT processes from scratch in a startup or high-growth setting.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and Vanta.
