Salary: $200,000 – $220,000

What you will do

• Act as general counsel for the firm’s structured investments and annuities businesses, overseeing all legal and regulatory aspects.
• Serve as a senior advisor to senior management, including the CFO and General Counsel, on commercial and regulatory issues.
• Manage a team of attorneys and oversee outside counsel to provide efficient legal support.
• Negotiate high-value commercial agreements with product issuers and financial institution users.
• Drive the modernization of internal legal processes to increase efficiency and support firmwide objectives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house at a broker-dealer or fintech firm.
• Strong knowledge of the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and FINRA rules.
• Proven experience managing other attorneys.
• Experience negotiating complex, high-value commercial agreements with sophisticated counterparties.
• Member in good standing of the New York Bar or another state/jurisdiction.
• Must be based in or able to work from Salt Lake City, Utah (Hybrid).
