What you will do

• Act as general counsel for structured investments and annuities businesses, serving as primary counsel on all legal and regulatory aspects.
• Advise senior management on commercial, regulatory, and legal issues.
• Manage a team of attorneys and outside counsel to provide efficient legal support.
• Negotiate complex high-value commercial agreements with product issuers and financial institutions.
• Drive modernization of internal legal processes to maximize efficiency and support firmwide transformation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house at a broker-dealer or fintech firm.
• Member in good standing of the New York Bar or another state or jurisdiction.
• Deep knowledge of the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and FINRA rules.
• Experience managing other attorneys and leading legal teams.
• Experience negotiating high-value commercial agreements with sophisticated counterparties.
• Must be based in New York, NY.
