Location: Hybrid in Mexico City, Mexico (office attendance 2-3 times per week)

What you will do

• Lead the design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems and horizontally scalable microservices using Clojure.
• Develop high-throughput jobs and inter-service communication leveraging Kafka.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines on AWS and manage services running in Kubernetes.
• Implement data storage solutions using Datomic and DynamoDB.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and maintain a high technical bar within the team.
• Collaborate with Product and Design leaders to develop new end-to-end user experiences.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience developing digital products in complex environments.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale systems serving millions of users.
• Strong background in object-oriented or functional programming languages.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Mexico City, Mexico.
