Senior Software Developer

TL;DR

Senior Software Developer: Contributing to developing and delivering integrated, innovative library solutions with an accent on using and adapting the hirify.global development process to ensure the highest quality of our products. Focus on maintaining existing code and developing brand-new features in collaboration with colleagues in Bucharest and Denmark.

Location: Hybrid setup: office and remote work. Travel might be expected to our Headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark. Must have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years.

What you will do

• Understand users and translate their knowledge into solutions.
• Estimate individual tasks, features, and projects.
• Write high-quality code.
• Implement unit and integration tests for features based on the test design.
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand and document the work.
• Troubleshoot and debug.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in development and implementation of complex software solutions.
• Proficient in at least 1 programming language (e.g. Java, Typescript) and quickly assimilating new programming languages.
• Previous working experience with modern frontend technologies/frameworks (preferably Angular 2+, or working experience with similar frameworks).
• Extensive programming experience using Java Platform (i.e., Java SE 8 or later, Java EE 8 or later).
• Solid working knowledge with databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years.
• Have strong command of the English language, both speaking and writing.

Nice to have

• Experience with Keycloak, Microservices, Docker, Docker Compose, Elasticsearch, Solr, Kafka, Shell Scripting (e.g., Bash), Bitbucket/Git, IDE, SonarQube.
