Product Engineer (TypeScript)

TL;DR

Location: Must be based in New York City or San Francisco (Hybrid).

Salary: $150,000 – $260,000 + Equity.

What you will do

• Develop large-scale improvements for the SDK Studio interface to empower self-serve users.
• Build LLM-powered tools that streamline the transition from OpenAPI specifications to production-ready SDKs.
• Design and implement robust public APIs underlying the platform.
• Contribute to the direction and architecture of the core API Framework.
• Collaborate directly with developers across various company sizes to translate user needs into functional features.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to public-facing engineering content.

Requirements

• Must be able to work from the New York City or San Francisco office.
• Proven track record building modern web applications with TypeScript and React.
• Strong product sensibility and empathy for the developer experience.
• Ability to design sound system architectures and build complex features independently.
• Proficiency in the broader API tooling ecosystem and OpenAPI standards.

Nice to have

• Experience generating SDKs using the hirify.global platform.
• Interest in technical blogging, public speaking, or community engagement.
• Experience stewarding APIs at scale.
• Broad polyglot programming experience.
• Entrepreneurial background, such as starting a business, club, or student organization.
