What you will do
- Design and scale reliable, fault-tolerant infrastructure on AWS using ECS and EC2.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management with Terraform and Ansible.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines to boost deployment velocity and developer autonomy.
- Manage observability and incident response using Datadog, CloudWatch, and OpenTelemetry.
- Implement and maintain robust security controls and compliance standards like PCI and SOC 2.
- Mentor team members and drive architectural decisions in an async-first environment.
Requirements
- Must be currently authorized to work in Canada (sponsorship not provided).
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or systems engineering within production environments.
- Proven expertise in AWS (ECS, EC2, VPC, IAM) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong background in Linux systems and container orchestration (Docker).
- Hands-on experience with observability tools and CI/CD methodologies.
- Ability to participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and manage complex, uptime-sensitive systems.
