What you will do

• Lead and mentor the DevOps team, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement through coaching and career development.
• Own the DevOps roadmap, identifying infrastructure improvements and scalability investments ahead of platform growth.
• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure and deployment pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
• Develop automated tooling for deployment, monitoring, and operations to improve system observability.
• Manage and optimize AWS services, including Aurora, DynamoDB, and SQS.
• Oversee IT administration, including user provisioning, laptop logistics, and asset inventory.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing or leading a DevOps or infrastructure team.
• Strong proficiency with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitHub Actions.
• Must be based in Canada (Ontario).

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted developer tooling like GitHub Copilot.
• Familiarity with payment processing and gateways.
• Experience with microservices architecture and web application performance tuning.
