• Develop feature ideas that reflect the diversity of the North East & Cumbria region.

Requirements

• Substantial experience as a daily news journalist in a professional newsroom.
• Proven ability to write tight, accurate news stories on deadline.
• Strong understanding of media law and hirify.global editorial guidelines.
• Proficiency in using social media platforms and social listening tools for story sourcing.
• Must be based in the North East & Cumbria region.

• Knowledge of SEO within a news context to increase story reach.
