What you will do

• Define and implement the editorial strategy for short-form video across the website, app, iPlayer, and social channels.
• Lead the editorial approach to curation, balancing human judgment with algorithmic support to define tone and storytelling.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and Technology teams to evolve discovery and personalisation for video.
• Manage and develop a specialist curation team, planning resources and workflows to ensure high-performing output.
• Utilize audience insights and performance data to increase reach and engagement, particularly with younger audiences.
• Ensure all curated content adheres to hirify.global Editorial Guidelines and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Significant experience in digital journalism with a track record in short-form video and editorial curation.
• Proven ability to deliver video-first editorial strategies across multiple digital platforms.
• Experience working with data-driven or algorithmic content systems.
• Strong leadership experience in developing editorial teams and collaborating with technical stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of mobile-first and younger audience behaviors.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid capacity in Salford, UK.
