Senior Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid; two days a week onsite in Osterley or Livingston, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain software products addressing complex cybersecurity and trust-sensitive challenges.
• Build and enhance security-critical applications using secure coding, threat awareness, and defense-in-depth principles.
• Support the full software development lifecycle, including feature development, system customization, production support, and release rollouts.
• Produce software designs, technical requirements, evaluation plans, test results, and other technical documentation.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions and explain technical decisions to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving and system design skills for mission-critical cloud-native software.
• Advanced Java and Spring Framework experience, including secure APIs and web applications on AWS using serverless architecture.
• Experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, and Aurora, as well as operating highly available production applications.
• Experience with OIDC, SAML, or OAuth2 authorization patterns and secure API development.
• Experience developing applications with Angular and Node.js.
• Knowledge of Java Cryptography Extensions, OpenSSL, Bouncy Castle, PKI systems, or secrets management products.
