TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Data Engineering): Building and maintaining core datasets and scalable data pipelines to support product analytics and financial reporting with an accent on system reliability and data modeling. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to the Menlo Park, CA office (Hybrid: in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week).

Salary: $153,000–$230,000 USD (based on compensation zone).

What you will do

  • Define and build key foundational datasets across all hirify.global product areas.
  • Develop scalable data pipelines using Python, Spark, and Airflow for data lake ingestion.
  • Partner with upstream engineering teams to enhance data generation patterns.
  • Collaborate with data consumers to design intuitive, well-documented data models.
  • Contribute to shared data engineering tooling, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in building end-to-end data pipelines.
  • Proven software engineering experience writing production-level code in Python.
  • Expertise in building large-scale pipelines using open-source frameworks like Spark or Flink.
  • Strong SQL proficiency (Presto, Spark SQL).
  • Ability to work across the data stack including infrastructure, analytics, and visualization.
  • Must be able to work from the Menlo Park, CA office at least 3 days per week.
