TL;DR

Location: Must be based in the Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $133,000–$200,000 (aligned to compensation zones).

What you will do

  • Lead the tax team in collaboration with product, legal, and finance to identify risks and opportunities for new initiatives.
  • Provide comprehensive income and indirect tax requirements for new product launches.
  • Drive system requirements and testing for tax compliance in partnership with engineering and data teams.
  • Lead tax structuring for domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, including acquisitions and joint ventures.
  • Conduct tax due diligence for potential investments and manage post-acquisition integration.
  • Monitor changes in tax law and manage external subject matter expert advisors.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of corporate tax experience within a law firm, Big 4, or corporate tax department.
  • Solid understanding of corporate income tax concepts, M&A transactions, and foreign operations.
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to distill complex tax concepts into actionable advice for diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
