What you will do

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines transforming raw weather and production data into curated features.
• Develop batch ELT workflows and contribute to real-time ingestion systems.
• Manage orchestration workflows using tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Implement observability, including metrics, logging, and alerting, to ensure system reliability.
• Ensure data resilience through idempotent tasks, safe backfills, and proper schema evolution.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to learn and apply a tensor-first stack including xarray, Zarr, and Dask.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in ETL/ELT architecture and processes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Solid engineering hygiene including versioning, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Must be based in or able to work from Tallinn or Rome for a hybrid role.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed compute frameworks or scientific data formats.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Familiarity with streaming systems like Kafka or Pulsar.
• Experience with data quality, lineage, and metadata tools.
