What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend microservices for the Lara API.
• Own features end-to-end, from technical design to production deployment.
• Manage MySQL databases and Redis caching layers.
• Integrate external AI and translation services into core products.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Write clear technical documentation and maintain high code quality standards.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in Node.js with TypeScript.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL).
• Strong understanding of REST API design and server-side architecture.
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
• Must be able to work on-site in Rome, Italy.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services (ECS, S3, SQS, Lambda).
• Familiarity with Redis, Fastify, or Express.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and TDD principles.
• Experience with Linux shell scripting and Unix administration.
