TL;DR

hirify.global is an El Segundo-based startup developing portable, fail-safe nuclear microreactors to provide critical power support for remote sites, hospitals, and data centers.

What you will do

  • Own the design and development of multilayer PCBs for reactor control and instrumentation systems.
  • Define electrical architecture including power distribution, analog front ends, and digital interfaces.
  • Perform schematic capture and layout with a focus on signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC mitigation.
  • Bring up, debug, and validate hardware through rigorous board-level testing and instrumentation.
  • Develop and execute hardware qualification test plans for performance and environmental conditions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless hardware and software integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing custom multilayer and mixed-signal PCBs.
  • Strong proficiency with schematic capture and layout tools like Altium or Cadence.
  • Deep understanding of signal integrity, grounding strategies, and EMI/EMC techniques.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
  • Must work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience designing electronics for radiation-hardened or harsh environments (nuclear, aerospace, defense).
  • Exposure to FPGA or embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of nuclear instrumentation or detector interface electronics.
