Software Architect (AI): Shaping the architectural direction of the EverHealth platform, modernizing healthcare systems and introducing AI-driven capabilities to improve provider productivity and patient outcomes with an accent on designing scalable systems and improving reliability. Location: Must be based anywhere in the United States or Canada. This role may require travel to Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Salary: $190,000 - $205,000 USD Per Year

What you will do

• Define and evolve technical architecture across the EverHealth product portfolio.
• Design secure, scalable, and highly available distributed systems.
• Architect systems that support healthcare interoperability standards including FHIR and HL7.
• Help integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into core product workflows.
• Partner with existing architects, principal engineers, and engineering leaders across EverHealth.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Security, and Operations leaders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience including .NET and T-SQL proficiency.
• 5+ years in a software architecture role.
• Deep experience designing cloud-native systems (AWS preferred).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, API architecture, event-driven systems, data architecture, and reliability engineering.
• Experience with interop formats such as FHIR, HL7, EDI.
• Must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare billing, clearinghouses or payer integrations.
• Experience applying AI and LLM technologies within software products.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI in operations and developer productivity.
