What you will do

  • Define and own the architectural vision and roadmaps for major platform domains like orchestration and data pipelines.
  • Perform architecture reviews and vet designs for scalability, performance, and security.
  • Lead critical subsystems development including service meshes and stateful services.
  • Drive cross-team architectural patterns and enforce technical standards.
  • Mentor senior engineers and architects to raise overall technical maturity.
  • Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and security teams to ensure operability and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3–5 years in a senior architect or principal role.
  • Proven track record designing and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Node.
  • Expertise in orchestration, job scheduling, message systems, and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make high-level decisions in ambiguous environments.
