Technical Lead (Healthcare)

TL;DR

Technical Lead (Healthcare): Owning the architecture and integration strategy for a cloud-native clinical decision support platform with an accent on FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and CDS Hooks integrations. Location: Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000

What you will do

• Lead integrations with VA EHR systems including VistA/CPRS and Oracle Health.
• Define and drive system architecture and microservices approach using Kotlin, Python, and Spring Boot.
• Set technical direction for the engineering team while remaining hands-on.
• Champion DevSecOps, CI/CD, and containerization across frontend and backend squads.
• Evaluate AWS services and drive cloud-native improvements.
• Align engineering, product, and stakeholders on technical decisions.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Hands-on experience with FHIR and API integrations in complex environments.
• Proficiency with Kotlin, Python, or Spring Boot, and React.
• Proficiency with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with VA EHR systems such as VistA/CPRS or Oracle Health is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform and Helm.
• Familiarity with VA IAM, EntraID, or Okta.
