What you will do

• Develop and maintain a high-performance proxy for the Kafka protocol.
• Design and implement new features to extend Event Proxy capabilities.
• Troubleshoot bugs and perform low-level optimizations and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the data-plane and Konnect SaaS platforms.
• Write technical documentation for developed products.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in server-side application development.
• 2+ years of professional experience with Rust and async programming.
• Proficiency in distributed systems and Linux networking stack.
• Knowledge of L4 and L7 transport protocols.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively within a remotely distributed team.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Tokio.
• Proven contributions to Rust open source projects.
• Deep understanding of Kafka internals.
