Senior Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Milan, Italy. Relocation support is not offered for candidates outside of Europe.

What you will do

• Design and engineer large-scale systems capable of handling high transaction volumes.
• Build and maintain APIs, services, and systems across engineering teams.
• Lead technical initiatives from architecture design through implementation.
• Resolve complex technical and product problems using analytical and creative approaches.
• Create documentation and improve processes for domain knowledge sharing.
• Own code quality, engineering excellence, and best practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience developing large-scale applications.
• Professional experience with Java or PHP and willingness to work with Java; experience with Go, C#, or Python is valued.
• Experience leading architectural decisions and technical initiatives, delivering end-to-end solutions, and optimizing processes.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex problems and solutions clearly.
• Creative problem-solving skills, a product-first mindset, and proactive ownership of technical or business improvements.
• CV must be submitted in English.
