What you will do

• Build and manage data pipelines and tooling to derive insights from exploration data.
• Collaborate deeply with geologists and data scientists to tailor technology solutions to scientific needs.
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects from design and implementation to testing and deployment.
• Manage the team’s production services and assist scientific colleagues with technical tooling.
• Lead small groups of engineers to deliver high-impact technical solutions.
• Occasionally travel to field sites to experience the impact of software in real-world scenarios.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, particularly with cloud data systems.
• Proficiency in Python and ability to write production-quality, scalable code.
• Strong background in large-scale system design.
• Must be based in the United Kingdom.
• Proven track record of taking ownership of complex problems and delivering impactful projects.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with non-technical domain experts.
