What you will do

• Lead the preparation, submission, and management of Money Transmitter License applications across the US and internationally.
• Act as the primary legal point of contact for federal and state regulators, including FinCEN and NYDFS.
• Provide critical legal guardrails during the design of stablecoin features and on/off-ramp products.
• Conduct deep-dive legal analysis on asset classifications regarding securities, commodities, and banking laws.
• Draft and maintain customer-facing terms of service, user agreements, and regulatory disclosures.
• Partner with internal compliance teams to translate legal requirements into clear operational workflows.

Requirements

• JD degree and active membership in good standing with a relevant Bar association.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in crypto-assets, blockchain, or fintech legal environments.
• Proven track record of successfully obtaining US state-level MTL licenses and similar financial service permits.
• Deep working knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and the Howey Test.
• Ability to thrive in a high-velocity, high-growth environment while managing regulatory ambiguity.
