What you will do

• Contribute to high-performance data pipelines and complex processing systems.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers to build tools supporting research workflows.
• Optimize system performance through profiling, debugging, and architectural improvements.
• Develop shared tools and infrastructure to improve research efficiency.
• Translate complex research requirements into robust production software solutions.

Requirements

• Solid foundation in C++ and Python programming.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and memory management.
• Knowledge of OS internals, process scheduling, I/O, and networking.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.
• Must be graduating in 2026 or 2027.
• Must be interested in working in Hong Kong for a full-time position post-graduation.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance optimization or low-latency systems.
• Familiarity with HPC or distributed computing.
• Exposure to data analysis tools like Pandas or NumPy.
• Previous software development internship experience.
