TL;DR

Account Executive (Cybersecurity): Driving sales strategy and business development within the SLED (State, Local, and Education) vertical with an accent on account penetration, partner relationship management, and complex contract negotiation. Focus on growing the customer base by delivering specialized software supply chain security and threat intelligence solutions to government and educational institutions.

Location: Must be based in the United States (Remote)

Salary: $135,000 – $145,000 plus performance-based bonus or commission

What you will do

  • Identify SLED customers and build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Engage and collaborate with resellers and partners in the SLED vertical market.
  • Develop a deep understanding of product offerings to address specific client challenges.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and presentations customized for government and educational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity and opportunity records in Salesforce.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, balancing closing speed with building trust-based relationships.

Requirements

  • Must have 5-6 years of experience in the public sector delivering value to SLED customers.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a consultative sales environment.
  • Expertise in the cybersecurity domain.
  • Strong existing relationships with resellers and partners in the SLED market.
  • Knowledge of state contracts and public procurement vehicles.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain C-level executive relationships.

  • Experience growing accounts with large and complex pursuits ($M+).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
