Engineering Team Lead

TL;DR

Engineering Team Lead (Web): Leading a team of engineers to build and operate web platforms that power cancer-screening experience with an accent on reliability, security, and user experience. Focus on technical design, infrastructure decisions, and ensuring quality and release safety.

What you will do

• Manage a team of ~4 engineers through 1:1s, coaching, and feedback.
• Own performance management, goal setting, and career progression.
• Lead hiring execution for the team.
• Ensure work is planned and executed through clear tickets and ownership.
• Own day-to-day technical design and infrastructure decisions.
• Champion quality and release safety, ensuring runbooks exist for common operations/incident response.

Requirements

• Prior experience managing engineers, including 1:1s, feedback, and performance conversations.
• Strong delivery leadership: can run planning, prioritize well, communicate tradeoffs, and keep commitments realistic.
• Strong technical judgment in modern web systems (bonus if you’ve worked with ASP.NET Core / C# and TypeScript/JavaScript in production).
• Comfort operating systems in cloud environments and modern CI/CD practices (Azure preferred).
• Excellent written & verbal communication and a bias for collaboration in a cross-functional, Agile environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with DICOM, HL7/FHIR, or other healthcare standards.
• Background in security & compliance (HIPAA, SOC 2).
