What you will do
- Own the technical vision and platform roadmap for the data domain, balancing innovation with reliability and cost.
- Build and mature the organizational structure, team boundaries, and hiring plans to support rapid company growth.
- Drive operational excellence, including data quality standards, observability, and incident response.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact across product, commercial, intelligence, and finance teams.
- Manage competing demands and communicate trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.
- Mentor engineering managers and foster technical leadership at all levels.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading a multi-team engineering organization with accountability for delivery and team growth.
- Direct experience owning data infrastructure within a product-focused company.
- Track record of building organizational structures, capabilities, or delivery practices from scratch.
- Strong background collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders such as product, analytics, and business.
- Ability to balance high-level architectural decision-making with hands-on leadership through others.

- Genuine interest in the crypto ecosystem.
- Experience scaling engineering cohorts from mid-size (~20) to larger organizations.
- Broad expertise spanning data engineering, BI enablement, and product.
