TL;DR

Test Engineer (Defense): Planning and executing system-level integration and functional tests for the Air Defense Systems Integration (ADSI) program with an accent on government certification, tactical data links, and test documentation. Location: Austin, TX, United States (Hybrid). Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

What you will do

  • Plan, develop, and execute integration and functional tests for the ADSI program.
  • Document test procedures, results, and summary reports according to program standards.
  • Configure and maintain complex hardware and software test environments.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to track and resolve test discrepancies.
  • Contribute to test automation and utilize tools like Jira, Jama, and Jenkins.
  • Support Standards Conformance Test (SCT) activities with government agencies.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (Secret or above).
  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Self-driven with a high level of initiative for managing tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for technical presentation.
  • Must be based in or able to commute to Austin, TX for hybrid work.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and command-line operations.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and JIRA/JAMA tools.
  • Knowledge of tactical data links like Link 16, VMF, or CoT.
  • Prior military or DoD contracting experience.
