What you will do

• Set the technical direction for major AI Studio investments, balancing customer experience with long-term platform architecture.
• Lead complex, multi-engineer initiatives from problem framing to delivery in ambiguous, high-impact areas.
• Make hands-on contributions to critical product components while providing deep technical judgment.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science to define technical strategy and product roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers and model best practices in technical design, project leadership, and engineering culture.
• Collaborate with peer leads across the organization to influence system-wide technical decisions.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in San Francisco and attend the office on designated hybrid days
• 7+ years of software engineering experience in production-level environments.
• Track record of leading complex, end-to-end projects as a technical lead.
• Strong skills in system design for scalable, maintainable architectures.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and create alignment among cross-functional stakeholders.
• Demonstrated passion for mentoring and amplifying team impact through technical leadership.
