Forward Deployed AI Engineer (AI): Guiding strategic customers through the deployment and optimization of data curation platforms in complex on-prem or hybrid environments with an accent on distributed systems and infrastructure architecture. Focus on bridging core platform capabilities with customer-specific requirements, solving scaling challenges, and ensuring successful production rollouts.

Location: Must be based in Redwood City, CA (onsite 4 days a week). Relocation assistance available.

Salary: $230,000–$300,000 OTE

What you will do

• Lead customers through the end-to-end onboarding, deployment, and production rollout of the data curation platform.
• Act as the primary technical owner for strategic accounts, driving architecture strategy and long-term adoption.
• Design scalable and secure workflows across compute, storage, and networking layers in diverse cloud and on-prem environments.
• Collaborate with Sales, Research, and Engineering to relay customer feedback and influence the technical roadmap.
• Optimize platform performance, including tuning for network topology, storage tiering, and resource allocation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, customer engineering, or technical delivery.
• Strong background in distributed systems, data infrastructure, and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure compute, storage, and networking.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for debugging and scripting.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as required for critical deployments.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical projects and translate business needs into execution plans.
