What you will do

• Manage end-to-end cheque processing, including sending, processing, and reconciling customer accounts.
• Allocate missing payments and reconcile BACS payments.
• Collaborate with the finance team on payment audits and same-day refunds.
• Support Energy Specialists with payment and refund-related inquiries to ensure service excellence.
• Communicate directly with customers to resolve complex payment issues.
• Review and respond to customer emails while liaising with external businesses.

Requirements

• Must identify with a Black, Black British, African or Caribbean background as part of the Octopus in Colour programme.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain order.
• Excellent self-management skills to handle own workload.
• Can-do attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
• Patience, helpful nature, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work full-time from 6th July to 28th August 2026.
