What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain our global cloud infrastructure.
• Investigate and improve the performance and reliability of complex distributed systems.
• Collaborate directly with the engineering team and leadership on project prioritization.
• Establish reliability guidelines and best practices for scaling operations.
• Write high-quality database and systems code.
• Contribute to long-term architectural design with a focus on simplicity.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in-person at our San Francisco office.
• 5+ years of backend engineering experience building and operating infrastructure at scale.
• Deep understanding of systems design, operational practices, and service management.
• Experience scaling infrastructure in a high-growth startup environment.
• Strong background in OLTP databases and user-facing live-site services.
• Ability to write high-quality, elegant code (Rust knowledge is a plus).
