What you will do
- Define and maintain SLOs/SLAs while balancing stability with feature velocity.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting using Datadog.
- Lead incident response as the primary on-call engineer and conduct blameless post-mortems.
- Automate manual operational tasks and build self-healing infrastructure.
- Improve deployment pipelines and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Scale systems and optimize performance in a Kubernetes-based environment.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Deep experience with Kubernetes, including networking, resource management, and debugging.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code background using Terraform or similar tools.
- Proficiency in Python or Go for tool building and automation.
- Production experience with cloud providers (AWS) and CI/CD strategies.
- Expertise in observability and monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Deep understanding of Linux/Unix, network protocols, and database operations.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with the stack: NGINX, ArgoCD, Cloudflare, and Django.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
