Senior Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Engineer (DevOps): Designing, implementing, and managing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on major cloud platforms with an accent on Kubernetes orchestration and Infrastructure as Code. Focus on repeatability, scalability, and security best practices for cloud infrastructure.

Location: Must be based in or within commuting distance to the office in San Francisco, California. Employer offers optional hybrid work from home.

Salary: $213,512 to $275,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Utilize Kubernetes to orchestrate and automate the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
• Leverage GitOps-based continuous delivery of applications.
• Utilize Helm for packaging, versioning, and deploying software applications.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Helm charts.
• Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions for cloud-based applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5 years of progressive experience with Kubernetes.
• 5 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• 5 years of experience with container technology (Docker).
• 5 years of experience with CICD Systems, including Gitlab, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or Helm.
• 5 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• 5 years of experience monitoring and logging tools (Grafana Stack, Newrelic, or Datadog).
• 5 years of experience with Python.
• 5 years of experience with secrets management using Vault.
