GSI Sales Engineer (AI-first hybrid observability platform): Supporting the technical evaluation of by proving out value in the platform to prospects in the pre-sales process with an accent on technically understanding prospect needs and translating specific customer problems into technical solutions. Focus on product training for new sales personnel and day-to-day product/technical support for trial prospects.
Location: Remote in Illinois

What you will do
- Perform sales engineering duties on trial calls, understanding prospect needs and supporting account executives with technical product demos and trial setups.
- Proactively optimize trials by adding dashboards and creating sample reports for all trial prospects.
- Lead technical and product training for new sales personnel on an ongoing basis.
- Provide day-to-day product and technical support for trial prospects.
- Log meetings and technical notes in SalesForce pertaining to the POV for each call with the customer.
- Demonstrate the technical aspects of how the product solves specific customer problems, translating customer problems into technical solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or technical degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a SysAdmin or Sales Engineering role.
- Able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
- Able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
- Experience in Linux and/or Windows/Network administration and operations including Virtualization, Storage, LoadBalancers, WMI, PerfMon, JDBC, SNMP, SMTP, JMX, Webservers, Active Directory, Database, and Scripting.
- Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity, innovation, or problem-solving.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis without requiring new or initial employer-sponsored work authorization.
